Miriam Beswick MP was elected to Tasmania’s expanded Parliament in 2024 to be a strong and reliable voice for the people of Braddon.
Guided by a strong Christian faith from a young age, Miriam is a dedicated member of C3 Devonport, where she has been actively involved in serving her local community for many years. Her faith continues to be the foundation of her values, leadership, and daily life.
Outside of politics, Miriam is a proud wife and devoted mother to two daughters and a son. Her husband, David, is her greatest supporter and has been by her side every step of the way on her journey into Parliament, encouraging her to pursue her calling to public service.
Miriam’s brings experience from a range of industries and includes small business ownership, administration and management, hospitality and tourism, waste services and telecommunications.

The Tasmanian Nationals will
Support regional communities and end the drift of services to the cities.
Support the state’s agriculture, forestry, fishing, salmon and mining industries and their workers and the communities that rely on them.
Support small business and reward private enterprise.
Support locally trained Tasmanian based nurses and doctors
Support effective initiatives to lift Tasmania’s education results, particularly in regional areas.
Support a Tasmanian-based AFL and AFLW team but not at any cost, it’s time to bench the stadium, rethink and renegotiate the deal with the AFL.
